Recipe

INGREDIENTS
  • For the dough:

    • 2 cups Refined flour
    • Salt to taste
    • 2 tbsp Olive oil
    • Water as required
    • 2-3 tbsp butter
    • 200 gm bacon strips
    • 2-3 tsp mustard paste
    • 50 gm cheddar cheese slices
  • For garnish:

    • Olive oil
PREPARATION
  1. In a bowl, make a dough of refined flour, olive oil and water.
  2. Dust refined flour over it.
  3. Roll out the dough and apply butter over it.
  4. Fold the two ends of the dough, dust some flour and roll it out again.
  5. Apply butter on the dough again, fold its ends and roll it again, making a rectangular shape.Wrap and refrigerate it for 3–4 hours.
  6. Again roll out the frozen dough, place the pie tray over it and cut its ends.
  7. Place the dough in the pie tray and grease it with butter.
  8. Add bacon strips, mustard paste and slices of cheddar cheese to the pie base.
  9. Roll the remaining dough keeping the centre thin, cover the stuffed pie base and seal it completely at the edges.
  10. Bake the pie at 190 C for 20–25 minutes.
  11. Remove and add olive oil for garnish.
